23a & 23b

Post by kerbside »

Hello Hugh, I have handled these models many times but tonight I was looking at them the for the Casting #23 segment when I noticed how different the
doors were. Not only wider but the door patterns are different in height, even the windows are a bit different even Nick does not mention this casting difference, we know that the door outline on the B model is more pronounced than on the A model.

I would say it's totally different types of castings there are so many differences to the doors one has the window closer to the front the ridge above the windows are different as are the shape of the wheel arches, also the base looks to be different as the tow hitches have different profiles and the mounting points for the base aren't the same

Obviously, the door was modified to allow easier entry for people with disabilities.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
