Another model I found hard to find again I have looked at so many bases, to find the 1st base casting.



It may be common to others but not for me, another off the wants.

Congratulations George! I know how much delight you find in managing to find a new variation from your isolated corner of the Matchbox world. Does the top half look as good as the bottom?

Hello Greg, yes it is always a joy to find these little variations even if you have to turn the model upside down to view the base, must be "MAD" to look for these variations Yes Greg the top half is just as mint as the bottom,

Hello Brad, no I do not have the 1st casting base on the 55d mercury, but it must be out there as it comes on all the 55d variations, another one to find

George...after i asked if you have the #55 with the 1968 mercury base...i thought...oh no the red dome light had that base...then checked mine and i have one with the red dome light and one with blue dome light...two to look for

Dan never mind two to find I would be quite happy to find one, I think that to get one with the RED dome light would be rather expensive.

no doubt George...lucky the blue light is less expensive and another over looked model...overlooked to look under i guess!
