It is a rather rough example of the gold trimmed 19B MGA but I'm happy to have it!

I like the 19b's too, it's a simple model but I never get tired of looking at them. Here's another gold trimmed one:

From the examples I've seen, I'm pretty sure that the trim was applied by fitting the spray mask to the end of the cowling. However, after a few sprays, silver paint inevitably ended up on the edge of the mask and, in turn, was transferred to the outside of the cowling, showing up as silver hairline traces. Presumably no easy solution could be found for this problem which is why the trim was dropped almost immediately.

Is there any evidence the #19c Aston Martin had Grey tyres fitted at the start of it's production run, as shown on the box-art, the reason for asking is that a picture of a #Y-5(B) Bentley has Grey tyres and I would like to know where these came from and not many other models in the range, '1-75 series' or 'Yesteryears' had them of the same size and design.

The Aston and Bentley were both introduced during 1962 and it seems the earliest box for the Aston shows it with Grey tyres, but the Bentley has never appeared on box-art with Grey tyres, only Black, do any forum members have an Aston with Grey tyres!

I've never seen or even heard of a 19C with gray plastic tires. That would be a cool variation though. I would think all of the models from the MOY range that had gray plastic tires would be too big for anything from the 1-75 range.
