Difference between Decal and Label?

I recognize very difficult the difference between:
Decal and Label.
Please dear members to provide accurate declaration incl. Photograph.

Hello Mike,
'Labels' were used first on models to show company names or services etc, and can be removed easily by various methods, usually with just your finger-nail.
'Decals' were used later as a more permanent fixture and are still removable but are then not reusable, they get destroyed by the removable process.
The 'Jaffa' model below has paper labels and the one on this example has been removed so the corner can be cut and replaced back on the model in a different place.

The Dodge Wrecker model below has 'Decals' whitch are more securely attached to the model and can not be removed without damaging the 'Decal', the example shown here shows a deep scratch in an attempt to remove it.

If it looks paper then it's a label, decals are normally waterslide and then you have timpo print which is sort of painted on.
