i wish you all the best, my concern is that this has been offerred as a BIN considering Grizzley has just sold 2 of them and the cheapest went for over £5000!!!!

I would be a little worried that this seller decided to sell this Ultra rare so cheaply IMHO. The alarm bells are ringing.

I am a little nervous about it. There is a 14 day return policy with it. I think we can pretty much tell if it is real or not. I have bought from this seller before, but they were not worth this much. I will be sure to post detailed pictures as soon as it gets here.

I would have expected some better, sharper and brighter pictures with a clear white background when selling such a rare piece......
But I keep my fingers crossed for you!

Not everyone would know about the recent auction, especially if they weren't collectors.
The model appears to have the correct castings and both the paint colour and finish look good too (although I'm a little worried by the high gloss on the cab).
The most worrying aspect is the use of such poor photographs for such a high-end item but, then again, it takes all sorts.
On balance, I think it's probably genuine.

Fingers crossed for you, I hope it's the real deal. The seller's photos do leave a lot to be desired though. I haven't had time to go through them, but I notice he has completed or is selling quite a few desirable models.

Hi Tony,i presume u bought this Tan/Red Magirus and did not win it cos it was a BIN with a Best Offer Option...correct?? ;)
This seller is actually the winner here cos he had it listed about 3wks ago at $1100 and with the Best Offer option.
This seller is a slimeball and shady with having sold a few "rare" fakes in the past year.Hes a confidence trickster!

This truck seems genuine as Idris and some others mentioned so no worries as far as this is concerned.Your main worry here should be this seller (Roadkill....how apt) so make sure to open your package in front of a witness, preferably the Post Office clerks/Couriers guys.Inspect it carefully (u have 14days from receipt) and no rush to leave feedback until ure completely satisfied with your purchase (up to 60days).
Great buy Tony!!! Let us know when it arrives and know that we are happy for u cos this certainly is one of the rarest Lesney models around and which collectors dream about.Pity about the missing hook though.

Thanks all. My wife is very good friends with our postal master here, so that won't be a problem. I looked at all their auctions, and just about all of them even the cheaper ones have bad pictures. I looked in their finished auctions and didn't see where they had it listed before. I always do this to see if a model has sold and then been returned. I will look again.
