Hello Matchboxmarcel,
Very nice find and interesting model. Looking at the model close-up, I see it has the wider front wing struts, this dates the model from 1968-69, the last year of full production for Y-15, before it was deleted from the range. Another detail to date this model is the rear of the windscreen frame. It was given strengthening braces, the first one in 1962 actually on the rear part of the screen frame and then another brace below the frame around 1965 and yours appears to have both.
If you could look at the baseplate you will see it is the full-length version with metal going right up to the centre boss and no holes, this design also appeared on 1968-69 models only and normally when these are 'Plated' for the 'Giftware' range, it would have the two mounting pillars cast onto the baseplate, but yours again does not have these, well done for getting this version.
GHOSTHUNTER.

It looks very nice. Is this Transpalite or something different?

There has been discussion on MOYBOYZ about a similar item obtained by a member there some time ago. The origins of these items has not been proven as yet.
The models appear to be painted gold rather than plated like the Lesney and Transpalite items.

That is so neat. Would love to find one someday.
