Hi Chaps,

I am new to this so I thought I would check out if there is anything here that I should leave alone? They will probably all end up in my storage box but its best to check....they cost me the princely sum of £5 but that included a cup of tea at the car boot sale as wel!

I cannot find any information on the Husky coal truck which I actually like the best out of the whole lot, any info on this model would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Husky coal truck appears to be a common standard model with solid dark gray plastic tyres -they probably made a million of them -this can be had for as little as £20 mint in blister at the right toy fair!

You could check the Snow Trac just to see if there is a feint outline of filled-in windows on the back (left and right of the centre rear window).

Thanks Chaps,

I just liked the look of the Husky, I have never seen one before! The Snow Trac has the name cast on the sides but it looks like there are no filed in wheels...is it possible to buy tracks for this model from the UK?

Sorry I meant to write filled in windows...there are just a couple of panels.

Have a look at Tinman's post for suppliers of replacement parts:

Check the 44c just in case it is the early casting without the door stop, check the 65e baseplate in case it is the (borderline) pre-production version, check the 71c in case it is the early baseplate without text.

Hi Chaps,

Thanks for the link...I should have thought of that! In my defense this is a big site and I usually get distracted when I search for something. Also it appears that I just have run of the mill models but I like regular wheels so I am very happy to have got them today.

Can I ask what do you collectors do if you get more than one model the same?

Familybucket43 that is amazing! The Corgi model has better wheels...this model not only looks good but is a bit of social history as well...I have not seen a coal truck like this since the early 70s...

Thank you for sharing your picture it certainly made me smile!
