Brake pipes on the Silver Shadow were an advisory by the last MOT. Need to attend to that. Fish pond needs cleaning. According to the wife the house needs painting and the garden need sorting out. The rest of my collection needs sorting and selling. Have I forgot anything? Ah yes, promised the grand kids I would take them to Disney World. Which reminds me got to sort out the flights to Australia in February...........

Rod, surely there is not enough time in the Day for any of that!!!
I did all the brake pipes and rubber hoses on my Shadow and it was dead easy at the front but my god, the back ones were a test of my patience, because they are centrally mounted high-up above the rear sub-frame and suspension arms. I could only just reach them and getting the old ones off was obviously very time consuming, as these are not the sort of items you can take on and off the car to keep everything working smoothly, so of course they were rusted solid to their brackets etc, anyway, I did it and took the car in and the guy said..."bloody hell, you did this work yourself, it's better and far tidier than if I had got one of our workshop guys to do it for you"...that made me proud to think my mechanical skills were still with me and as good if not better, than the average garage mechanic. But the car deserves that sort of attention to detail, the same as she had received when she was new in 1977!
Will you do this work yourself, if you do, while your under the car, smear all the new pipework and hose unions with thick grease to help ward-off the general road grime, this should make the job in future easier when it comes to undoing things again and above all, please be careful under there, she is nearly two and a half tonnes, so take care.

Yes, I will be doing the work myself but no worries I have a car lift. Will be visiting England next week and while there will pick up some cunifer10 brake piping as I have positive results using this on my other classics. The unions have already been sourced from ebay.
If you are bored with nothing to do you are quite welcome to come over and help!

I would love to Rod, but I do not travel abroad and I do have to look after my Father virtually daily, so thanks for the offer, but sadly I have to decline on this occasion.

So, let me get this right, I take my yellow Rolls-Royce to the NEC toy fair, just to transport the 'VBD Toy Fair Posse' around the car parks for a bit of fun!!!
