I've just listed this on eBay, it's a rare Morestone Prime Mover set with the all illusive Trailer.

Did this model ever have engine covers like the Moko Lesney version? If so, were they metal or plastic?

To be honest Hugh I've never seen a mint one so I don't really know, I didn't even know the Trailer was plastic till I got this one and it's the 1st one I've ever seen with the Trailer. Only ever seen 4 units before as well.

For some reason I already knew that the trailer was plastic (which explains why so few have survived). My guess would be that that the use of plastic means that this model significantly post-dates the Moko Lesney prime mover set.

Don't know about that but it has that hard plastic 1950's feel to it, although I think it's early 60's ?
