Wow Reg, even in that condition that's a very rare Jag!!

The seller must be astounded at the sale price and now probably regretting not listing it better!!!!

I will certainly email him to congratulate him on achieving such a phenominal price for this model.
If this price is indicitive of the current market then I will have to consider putting some of my rarer wheel variants on ebay also, including my gpw 25c (that makes 4 now Jazz) which I bought at haydock for 20 pence. :D :D

Item has gone back on auction as it appears the original high bidder was a flake.

Not being an out-and-out wheel collector, I'm always a bit torn by this model. Obviously the GPW look impressive in a line-up on a shelf, but the really interesting part is the three-line base. It's a bit like the 78a Triumph Motorcycle - do you really want to spend serious money on something which is normally hidden and (probably for most of the members here) can only been seen with the aid of a pair of glasses or a magnifying glass?

The three line base effectively authenticates the GPW - so if you are a wheel variation chaser, this adds to the appeal. Very rare in anyone's book.

Cheers,
