Hey guys,
One from my dad's collection. The box is damaged and there's a few oddities about this one. See what you can spot:

Re: Scalextric Tri-ang - Mercedes 190
Hello McCarthyMR, your blue Mercedes-Benz 190 SL was introduced into the UK Scalextric range during 1963 on catalogue number C.75. In 1966 it was given a slightly more powerful motor and re-marketed as part of the 'Race Tuned' range on catalogue number C.94.
It was however used in a James Bond 007 Gift Set with a working flip-over feature activated by a mechanical spring link when Bond's Aston Martin contacted the rear corner of the Merc, causing the car to 'Flip-Over' and come off the track. Your blue moulding shows the redundant bracket inside the rear section of the body and a spare hole in the front seat where on the Bond car it had a passenger.
The model was deleted from the range during 1969, and yours is in a box design introduced for the 1969 range, so yours appears to be a very late issue.
If you intend to keep the model you can buy modern replacement parts.
Regards,
GHOSTHUNTER.

Blimey Ghosty, thanks for this. It was my dad's so it's likely my mum will sell it. It's the only Scalextric car but there's so much more around. These are just the first photo's.
