Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow by Hot Wheels

Post by GHOSTHUNTER »

Hello Alex, sorry this has been posted so late after you telling me about it.

The Vectis Auction for July 23rd 2014, had many LOTS of Hot Wheels cars, some really nice examples and included these two Pink Rolls-Royce models. The Pink version was one of two colours specifically made for the UK markets around 1971-1972 and as the same model was deleted from the range during 1973, these are rather sought-after versions, especially if you need both versions with the ivory and dark brown interiors.

Mattel gave Lesney a run for their money with this model - very nice indeed!

Go onto any of the Hot Wheels sites that have compiled a valuation listing and these in their blister cards will be in FOUR figures... :!:

I know who bought em, it was cheap, but the price on non mint ones has took a dump in the last few years. Loose mint pink RR used to hit $1000+ about 4/5 years back, I doubt they still do.

I would take the price list that ghosty put up (from the south texas site) more as a rarity guide than a price guide. If any prices hit what they state its more luck than anything

And having said all that the next one that comes up for sale will go for stupid money and prove me to be wrong ...............
