no i painted it...somewhere someone posted a promotional picture of matchbox models and there were some different colored ones in the pic...whether it be prepros or color trials...i was into repainting models for awhile and i was looking for stuff to paint...the scaffold truck not having any variations or just one i thought this would add some pizzazz to my collection of this model

The original prepro of the Scaffold truck was indeed yellow. However, the sign board was not cast into the sides of the truck (similar to the prepro 51c Leyland tippers). Info is not to critique Dan's work but merely for future reference/information.

Wasn't it also missing the rear mudguards?

when repainting...i always try to leave something thats not right with the model...like the raised platform on the yellow scaffold truck...i painted a 69 hatras yellow hubs red as its a hard one to find and ones thats affordable...well the red hubs arent painted totally red...just the front and where the tires go..the back of the hub is still yellow...my main reason for doing stuff like that is to not allow fraud if i ever got rid of some of the models ive changed
