Allhough I visited it already twice this 3rd time was the 1st time I had put a small exhibition there myself on the clubtable of the Dutch miniature model club (NAMAC)
NAMAC member Hans Nuis had original Meccano Dinky models, next to their Atlas current replica models. Hans also brought quite a few comic books with cars or trucks in the lead. On those comics were then the miniture models of the trucks/cars drawn in the books.
NAMAC member Jan v/d Bor had a nice display of the current Volvo models from Atlas. This was very populair during the day.
NAMAC member Wim Kuijkhoven had some of his big collection of 1/24 and 1/25 scale models with him and also brought a Ferrari model in an amzing majority of scales.
For me the village of Putten is only a 15min trainjourney and Jan got me from the station at 8.30.
Allthough my photoreport is not as complete as Christian Falkensteiner's and Bob Tutt's their reports I thought it was good to post the photos take last saturday here.
The vehicles are not as old as in Christian and Bob their reports but there were some interesting vehicles.
My own table with old LEGO from the late 60ties and early 70ties. This included the nice Cadillac (set 390), Renault (set 391) and Rolls Royce (set 395)
Alo on display are the big trucks from the 1967-1970 period) (sets 331-338) and the big trucks from the 1972-1975 period. The later ones has the longer motorhoods and the printed headlight/grille blocks.
I also brought the small sets 603 and 610 sets and the red Vintage Car 9set 610) is actually my 1st Vintage car ever, even a year before I got my 1st Models of Yesteryear in 1974.
The LEGO was very popular both with children and the "mid" ages people.

I had some early 70ties and late 60ties LEGO catalogues on the stand but I soon took these away as there was to many wind.
We soon wrapped some plastic foil around the stand to protect the models against the wind. Later that morning we got quite some rain aswell.

This photo was taken just before a Buick arrived from an owner who actually lives only streets away from where I live.
Around 10.00 a colone of army trucks came trough the street. These were on a tour for the full day so we could only see them while they drve trough the shoppingstreet.
The 1st of the many army vehicles: from the Regional Foundation Veterans North West Veluwe.
After the army vehicles stood stil for a while and then continued their daytrip the other vehicles came through the shopping street. It had started to rain.
I realy like this Citroen 2CV for the Dutch ANWB (you can ring them if your car need a reair along the way) More detailed photos to follow later on in this posting.
Realy big umbrela to protect the interior of this Donkervoort.
The event is especially good as many trucks atend. In the past we also saw many tractors but there were only a few tractors now.

One of the very few prewar cars, a Peugeot.
More heavy rain started when the big trucks arrived. I made photos from behind my stand but later that day I took more photos at the parking.
After all the vehicles went though the main shopping street the vehicles were parked away on squars around the shopping street. So people could see them better.
I waited untill the rain stopped to take some more photos.
This van was standing along the restaurant at the other side of the street right in front of our stand. (near the tractors)
The superb ANWB Citroen. The owner was dressed like the mecanics in that period. (in army green)
