2a Dumper question

On a recent trip out to Washington state we stopped and visited with Matchbox veteran collector Mickey Kosko. I ended up buying from Mickey a 2a dumper with green painted wheels and the dumper retained by the small uncrimped panel nail (the rusty one on the right).
Is this variation less common than the rounded head crimped pins (on left). Does anyone have an example with unpainted wheels and a dumper retained by the uncrimped panel nail?

Hello Greg really great to hear from you, I shall expect an email from you now that you are home
Yes both of my 2a dumpers the Green wheel, and the Unpainted wheel models are fixed with a Pin (nail)

Hi Greg, I have uncrimped pins on plain and painted wheels too.
I'm glad I checked these, because I'd forgotten about the darker/lighter green paint.

Thank you gentlemen! And yes George, I've got some travel photos and even a couple of questions for you later.

Yes, they do vary quite a bit. The difference is even more noticeable on George's photo.
