New addition.

Not that special, plating not perfect, but............

First one without holes or columns for me. I know Jason has some of these, Opel, Packard Victoria I seem to remember, but may be others.

These are very fascinating models from late 1971 into 1972. I only know of these versions with the larger brake-lever mounting block (arrowed on the detail shot of the picture posted by "YYS4BOB". This larger design serves no apparent benefit to the feel and look of the finished model, so it may be a production modification to help the casting to release from the tooling, because it was further modified for the 1973 proposed Metallic Coloured range, making three designs in total...
...the original narrow design seen on the first 1969 issued models.
...the wider design seen on the late 1971-72 models (and the very first 'Chromed' models without pillars).
...the rounded design seen on the 1973 designed, re-launched Metallic Colour range.
No Y-10 Rolls-Royce model appears to have been used in the 'Giftware' range for 1969 or 1970, the first appearance is in 1971, in both 'Gold' and 'Chrome' finish giving the model shown here the possibility of being a trial model for the 'Giftware' range, hence NO PILLARS !
The search is on to find a 'Gold' version without pillars

Thanks Mike. This is just the Y10 Rollers in the giftware collection. I have around 150 others

Space to display them is always a problem

(although all these have
pillkars cast)
Bob - your spelling is getting atrocious ! is it senility setting in, just fat fingers or the excitement of the find
Ghostie, I don't have one yet so if you wish to get rid of one let me know. I do have others like Bob without pillars or holes cast and presume they were gift models given away to visitors as loose models only.

You can bring them to me. I have a lot of space (as you know) to display them.
Especially interested in the lighter and transpalite groups
At the end these are GIFT ITEMS as Mick pointed out above !

Now that's an interesting idea...give away gift models as gifts...Hmmm, I'll have to think about that for a while...
