Thanks to ewan i have another 2 models to add to my spot on collection,i have been picking these up here and there and has you can see condition is not that important to with me lol i like to pick these up cheap or trade for them,the internet has made it easier to find these belfast made models so a cheap collection is now possible for anyone,saying that certain models fetch hugh prices ,the caterpillar dozer for instance and some coaches.Spot on lorries go for a lot too,but condition obviously counts.The pics show my car collection i do have some lorries etc but they aren,t handy to photo,my best model is a caterpillar dozer which i got in a load of dinkys cheap,be tough to do it today lol.

Has anyone ever compared the original Spot On to the new Norev made versions of today.

Love the S-Type tanker, I think they're worth a few quid too. Fingers crossed you find one of the yellow and white ones to keep it company.

i have not seen any norev yet in the flesh but i gather they are very similar

I bid online at a local auction for this tanker and was outbid,this tanker was in a group of mixed diecast mainly dinkys,then while chatting walking my dog the next day(a toy dealer lives in the next street and walks is dog) i found out the tanker was for sale for £30 in a local shop so i got it after all,some things are meant to be lol.

Wondered where yow'd gone, missed you over there,
Some crackers there mate, that Ambulance is a nice rare one, and the Bedford S tanker's a beaut.
Trouble with Spot On is they've got so many delicate plastic parts that unless you find one that's never been played with it's most likely damaged.
Don't bother me if they're damaged though, I love 'em.

i,m not on my computer has much nowadays,so can only deal with one furum and my ebay lol,these spot i have just picked up here and there i was only collecting the lorries and then only when they were cheap(not all spot on is marked and some can get under the net and go cheap),at my level of buying, condition is what it is and yes they are fragile.When i have amassed a few i will then start to upgrade and seek out and pay out lol.

After Spot On production finished in Northern Ireland, some of the moulds were used for a short while in the late 1960's to produce the models here, with "Made in New Zealand" on the base

I have just received a copy of this book and i can highly recommend it to all Spot-on collectors and general enthuisiasts alike. It is certainly expensive but what you are getting is a mighty large and very comprehensive book, worthy of any diecast collectors coffee table. If you are into Spot-on, you MUST have this book at all costs. Utterly Brillaint.

I am not a Spot On expert but the New Zealand made ones I have (only land rovers) simply look like the Northern Ireland has been ground of the base casting in the mould and do not actually say New Zealand. The boxes for New Zealand models are different and do say made in New Zealand.
