A keep sake

While doing a bit of sorting I came across this paper advert, it was issued with the Mike Stannards book. Reading it he intended to issue more pages to this loose leaf book as new variations came up, but must have sold the rights to this book before any came up. Now a days if he were to do this today the book would be double the thickness, with all the variations there are now since this was printed.

Very cool and great historical piece!! I believe the original Stannard catalogs were 3 ring binders so it makes sense that they would be "easy" to update (at least relative to that time in history).................. Hard copies of catalogs are becoming a thing of the past now in the digital age, e.g., the "instant" updates that Nick is able to do via his online catalogs/listings and ALL viewers are seeing the latest.

That is correct. I met Mike at his shop back a few years. He was more into action figures at the time but shared much about the book and it's making. Great guy. I think I heard he is in Texas now but not sure.
