Hello from a Newbie

Hello Everyone.
I have been roaming this site for a couple of years, but never posted to date.
I thought it was time I said hello, as it seems like I know you all already.

I was at Huntingdon today and met Tim (tjlglass). It was nice to put a face to one of the names on here. I have got to thank Tim for letting my 9 year old son pick a few items off his stall for next to nothing, in some cases actually nothing! It was very kind and he is well happy with his acquisitions.
I have been collecting for 3 years now and have amassed a reasonable collection of Superfast in that time. I was a 70s child so Superfast is what appeals to me and I am trying to stick to it.......at the moment.

This is a great site and I hope I can get to know more of you as time goes on.

Chris

Hi Chris, Welcome to the Forum.

Tims one of the good guys so i am not suprised that he made sure your boy was happy with a few freebies. I am glad to have another SF collector on the forum and would love to see some images of your collection. You will see a few images of my ever growing collection posted here and there on various posts.

Please feel free to ask any questions and happy hunting!!

Ok guys you can stop the Tim love in now lol, no seriously it was nice meeting you Chris and like I said yesterday this is a good forum to chat to and meet likewise people. There are some very good knowledgable people on here and if your ever stuck and have a question just post it on here as 9 times out of ten you will get the answer. I even managed to pry Reg's wallet open but had to use a rather large crow bar lol.

Am I too late for the 'Tim Lovefest'??? NUTS!! I am just in the wrong time zone I guess.....
Welcome Deuceydog, how have you been able to keep from comment so long? You apparently have much more self control than most of us here to stay just a 'lurker' for so long......LOL.....kwakers ;)

Hello Chris, so you've finally took the plunge into 'Matchboxdom' and now your'e here, welcome to our little Kingdom. First and foremost it is a friendly place to be involved in, a great place to show off models from your collection and to further your enthusiasm of Matchbox models on many levels.

There are some very well informed forum members here, ready to help you with your model enquiries so don't be shy, jump in and ask any questions and post some pictures of anything you want us to see or just your favourite models, just be aware of the different threads and topics, try and post in the correct areas but don't worry if you get mixed up, there are site admin and moderators who can move your posting to the correct area.

Enjoy your stay here and get clicking with your Camera.

Regards,

Ghosty.

Thanks for all your comments.

I will post some photos soon, although there is not too much (nothing!) you won't have seen before.

However, I never tire of seeing other peoples collections.

Chris

Actually Chris you never know as there are so many different small variation that members like Mick (sm88) are always eagle eyed and spot them so you might have something different and not know.

...and even within one's own collection you can find variations you had not been aware of, until you show your models to another pair of eyes!
