Neat indeed, they all look like colour trials except the Group 6s which look like a comparison of different rivit spinning tools !

This must be a pre-pro baseplate that had been found unused in the experimental shop from 3-4 years earlier when the tooling was going through initial test shots. Note also the extra wide wheels not fitted to production #45s. Prior to the 2 pack era raw mazak baseplates which show no traces of chemical plating or paint like this pair are a good indicator of hand assembled factory trials toys
