I have just mentioned one unlisted variation by Hugh´s list. I don´t know where it is better to discuss it. It is blue Jag with one central ejector ring (typically there is one central + two front ejector rings)

Front trim: hand applied silver trim to bumper, grille, 2 x headlights
Rear trim: hand apllied silver trim to bumper & red tail lights
We should rewrite the code order. The first code is hand applied silver trim. The variation with mask sprayed rear number plate is a later code!

I agree. In addition we need to interleave the metallic and non-metallic blue models, ordering them by axle type, plus we should also be trying to make sense of the trim variations.

There is the difference in the silver trim on mask sprayed number plate. It is a question if there were two pattern for mask spraying or only it was a different angle by spraying

I agree also. There are both variations blue/metallic blue models and with dome head crimped/ rounded axles (it supports Dick´s theory). Anyway the blue model with dome head rounded axles is pretty hard to find.

While we are on variations, and the 65a model trims to the rear end. my one with the Silver # plate also has Silver tail lights, and the other has Red tail lights, these are the normal Blue models.



This 65a Metalic Blue models one is unlisted on Nicks site of variations that is the one with crimped axles and a Flat Black base plate both are Metalic Blue models.

Nice variation George with flat black base plate and metallic blue body. Your model with silver number plate seems to be a variation with smaller plate.

Hello Antonin, most of my variations I got by luck, when I started to collect the 1-75 models I was just after the model. It was a few years later that I started to look for all the different variations. Due to getting the Mike Stannard book, that opened my eyes now also there is now Nicks Variation Site and the ones that the collectors on this site find, just never ending.

Hi George
I began to have a feeling about variations purely by chance. I had in my collection 57c Land Rover Fire Engine with GPW. All my classmates had 57c with black wheels. I wanted to swap it several times, because I did non like the grey wheels. Thankfully nobody of my classmates liked it also and therefore the 57c with GPW remained in my collection to this day.
