Nothing rare but some nice looking Kings & Majors. Looking forward to see what comes this weekend from the Matchbox Mayhem auction that Graham is running right now. Looks like a lot of Superfast collectors will be drooling over some of the pre-pro's. As usual Graham has put together a fine selection. Hope you enjoy the pictures, comments are always welcome and Good Luck to all the bidders this weekend.

Hello John, as always some fantastic examples you have secured there, but interested in more details about the 'Matchbox Mayhem' Auction you mention. Where is it, when is it, is it on-line and will you be attending and if you are, any chance you can capture some pictures for the less fortunate of us here on the forum!!

Many thank's

Ghosty.

Ghosty, the auction is on EBay, all you have to do is search for seller rockertron-toys make sure you search worldwide as he is located in the United Kindom Graham has two major auctions every year and always has some of the best stuff on Ebay. His grading is very accurate and his packaging is in a league of its own. He's listed in the EBay top sellers as well.

Thank you John, had not realised it was 'Rockertron' so I am aware of his business and yes his packaging has been highly praised by forum members, thank you for your prompt reply, have a good weekend.

How Graham has always been able to secure such high prices for boxed Mint Lesney regular wheel models without any variation details is amazing to me. I understand that rarities need few details, but the two views he shows of most 'commons' he has listed are not usually of any use at all to serious 'completests' like myself. He does have some very nice SF pre-pros listed this week, so they are worth a good look. kwakers

Hi Dick,

Graham's reputation counts for a lot. His offerings are always of the highest quality, and having seen his stalls and purchased directly from him at numerous fairs in the UK, I can confirm that his stalls are simply amazing. When you know you will be getting the best quality items, you tend to bid higher I think.

It is a shame that there aren't more pictures and more detailed descriptions, as I appreciate that many variations in SF models are very subtle and not always easily seen. I think that the sheer volume of stock that Graham handles would keep ten people busy, so I'm guessing that time limitations are probably the main reason he doesn't provide more photos and information.

Cheers,
Gavin

These fine models that most of us know so well should never be under estimated when it comes to the pleasure of owning them -its not all about rare variations!
Thanks hydra for the tip off to Graham“s auctions -some very fine items there but not as great pre-pros or colour trials as we saw previously.........

I would love to be able to make a swap meet or two in the UK but the cost of the flight might outweigh any savings on the models. Graham has always done right by me and I will hold his word when it comes to grading. I agree, not as many rare variations this time around but still some wonderful models. I am almost glad that I have never gotten the SF itch to start collecting them. I might try to get a transitional 1-75 model to show the evolution of Matchbox but I am in no hurry. Still way to many regular wheels, king size, major packs and others that I want before I go to the "dark side".

Be careful with those transitionals, its a very slippery slope...

Sadly on line maybe the only way for many to access Grahams models as he told me he was cutting back on the toyfairs for selling mainly concentrating on Sandown
P's the green prepro bmw is lovely in the flesh as he had it at the last Brentwood show
