Some beaches are great for fossil hunting mp (if that's your thing) I went there as a kid and had a great time. (You do mean Isle of Wight don't you?)

The Island is a great place. Loads of diverse thinks to do. Some lovely cliff top walks, steam trains at Haven Street, coloured sands and a chairlift ride at Alum Bay, etc., etc. Vectis Auctions originated here in Ryde.

I hear that Isla St. Clair (previous host of the 'Generation Game'), is to marry Jimmy White, she will now be known as..."Isle of White"!

Ghosty.

When I was last there in about 2007, there was an excellent vintage toyshop in Ventnor on the Southern side of the Island - a number of very nice toys came home with me from there.

Interesting place to visit, lots to do and lots of quaint, odd British folk living there. You can get a bus right around the island hopping on and off as you please easily within a day. We went to the zoo, rode old tube trains, went on a hovercraft, and explored Roman ruins amongst other things.

Such fun!

Cheers,
Gavin
