Hi,I wonder if anyone could confirm how many colour variations there were on a No.30 Ford Prefect , as I have one which is a light Olive Green
How common is this ?

The light olive green 30a is definitely htf. Not only was it produced in fewer numbers than the brownish version, it is also difficult to spot unless it is in a side-by-side comparison.
The third colour, pale blue, came right at the end of the model's life.
There is also a rather unpleasant dirty, milky colour, which I am firmly convinced represents the end station of an extreme sunfade of the common brown variant.
More information can be found on Nick's catalogue page (
here).

Thanks that is very useful , and I am now sure that the one I have is the olive green variation , but I would like to have it confirmed
I have some pictures on my phone so probably the best thing to do is to post them and see what others think

Antonin has posted a very nice colour line-up on the link above. Here's three I have that fall in shades of green (Olive green on the left was kindly located by Hugh a while ago).

Thanks for your response that's really helpful . Mine , I would say is nearer to the middle car's colour , perhaps a shade even lighter
I have attached (hopefully) a picture of mine
Thanks again

I'm not 100% convinced. This is a very difficult model to spot in isolation and photographs do have a tendency to alter the colour balance.
Have you got a 59a (or a normal brown 30a) you could photograph it next to?

Thanks for the feedback, its really interesting ,I have taken several photos and can't seem to bring out the true colour ,depends on the light but in the flesh its just like the linked 30a
I haven't the others to compare it with but its definitely a shade of green
