At last I have had the chance to take a picture of a Ford Transit with an open bed as per 66e.
On display at the Aston Manor Transport Museum in Aldridge, West Midlands. This one is a very early example, made in 1965.

reminds me of the mk1 transit van on an old building company I worked for in the 80's , the driver used to polish it so much he polished out most of the sign writing and wore the paint through to the primer in a few places , if you ever got a lift in it you had to cover the seats and floor with dust sheets and remove your footware

That transit has without doubt been restored "25 years reliable service" to a firm of painter and decorators!!!!!
