'Spot the gem' - don't you mean gems? My eyes are automatically drawn to the bottom left corner of the top box but I strongly suspect there's more than just that in there....

I suspect it may be the red and cream bus in the lower box which, at first, I thought was a Dinky 29/29a, but the door's in the wrong place.

Hi Idis
Would have been really good if it was the marmite dinky but i doubt i would have got it,there are a few nice dinkys in there but the bus you mentioned is by beeju ,a surrey firm and made in the fifties,a few variations exist and the purple coach in the pic is also a beeju,i would suspect a dinky influence though.

It's the Moko crawler in the bottom left of the upper box!

That's what I was meaning by 'my eyes are automatically drawn to the bottom left corner of the top box'    Rather nice, I'm keeping half an eye open for one to keep my dozer company. There was a red one which had been repainted yellow on ebay a couple of weeks back (seller had it as Benbros) but it went too high for skinflint me.

What's the red truck in the same box - is it a Dinky or one of those 'Sunderland' AECs (I forget the makers, Timpo or Benbros maybe?). I'm not as clued up on 1950s diecast as I'd like to be and when you're used to seeing individual photos only you get no appreciation of scale so when a bunch of different models are together it's hard to figure out what's what.

Hi Ewan
i knew what you were hinting at regards the crawler :D ,the red lorry is a dinky fordson, the other dinkys in the lot are a mechanical horse and open trailer, double decker bus,xk jag, rover 75,and a jeep and trailer, the only timpo is an early racer, notice the brass wheels and a unknown sidecar which maybe is a timpo/morestone/benbros i need to search some more to find out.

That's a very nice lot Dave. What's the tank with the three barrels or guns, it looks ww1 style? Do they rotate?
