61b Alvis Stalwart
61b Alvis Stalwart
I don't know if this has been noted already, but the area each side of the clip on the military version has noticeable braces for additional strength. That area on all my yellow hubbed models is quite a bit smaller and a little untidy, so I don't know if this was simply improved for the military release or whether it was an issue with the dies affecting some of the earlier yellow hub models.

Re: 61b Alvis Stalwart
Hi John,
I have exactly the same as you, checking back to the first smooth bed version that is quite tidy then the last yellow wheel version is rough.
Must be something to do with the die. I also have an unpressed green prepro version that has the later modifications, there may be late white versions out there somewhere.

Re: 61b Alvis Stalwart
Thanks for checking Jason, I do like this model. Does anyone have any that don't conform to this?
