I've been busy lately and wanted to share some pics of my work.
There are many more photos on my blog: www.ladiecast.blogspot.com
Just go to the Project Archive page and there are links to all my customs
Finished up a couple more tonight. The cement mixer was just a simple strip and repaint, as was the bus really. The decals on the bus are a bit too big but that's ok. I might trim them down when I can find a fresh blade for my exacto knife! More pics are up on the blog.
Haven't updated this post for a while as there didn't seem to be too much interest in it. But here's a few more Lesney restorations. Check out the blog in my signature for lots more photos and commentary about the cars. Not to toot my own horn, but I like to think it's a pretty good blog.
"MBXPilot" said..."Haven't updated this post for a while as there didn't seem to be too much interest in it". "MBX", just because there does not seem to be too many members posting comments to your models, you can not assume there is not a lot of interest in them. You are currently posting to one of the most visited websites connected to "Matchbox" and associated Lesney products, so you are displaying your hobby through a very big window for the World to see. I like your models very much and you just happen to show a Rolls-Royce in the above set and may I say...a very nice restoration and done in a nice relaxing colour, something Rolls-Royce would have been proud of.
So come on, none of this nonsense from you about 'not a lot of interest', it simply is not true, we are admiring your work without having to shout back at you, because we know and you know, you have done good on them, keep it up.
Ok ok I take it back!!!
I guess I just feel like this forum is out of my league and don't post too often!
But I appreciate the kind words and definitely have some nice Rollers lined up to finish soon.
I would like to second what Ghosty said. I like looking at the customs other members produce and your work looks very well done. There are lots of members who appreciate the work that goes into making a good custom. The only time i hate customisers is when they produce what looks like a rare original colour variation and they say its original or try to pass them on as pre pro colour trials or brazilian SF's for example.
