#41 GT40 Code 30 Wildcat labels

Post by mrmoko »

Coming soon is my latest find. Superfast GT40 with Wildcat Labels. In very rough condition but am very happy to have it . I have never seen one or even new they existed . Do any members have one to show us ?

I take it you're referring to this model: -

If so, it would certainly appear to be difficult to find. Well spotted.

They are certainly more difficult to find. I have seen a couple sell on e bay this year and usually sell for arong £50 - £70 for a model in excellent condition. A mint one would probably cost closer to £100 or more.

I am still looking for a mint example myself.

Hi guys , This is the only picture I have for now . I had to ask the seller what the labels said and his reply was ,Wild cat on both sides. I did tell you it was in rough condition but I still had to have it . I have noticed the wheels are thin superfast as well .I just looked at the superfast table again and this is either not listed or a label swap by the looks of it . Any thoughts ?

Very odd paint wear although the labels look pretty good, and no windows, it's a bit fishy if you ask me.

I would have took a gamble too at that price, it is easy to tell if it is genuine or not, peel one of the labels back a little and see if the paint underneath is mint (genuine) or chipped (fake)

I have never seen a #41 with that type of wild cat label. I thought you were referring to the variant as shown by Johnny Pimp with the cat bonnet label. The door labels on your #41 are not original to the model they are on. A waste of 25 pence. One for the beater box!!

Lesney didnt have any labeling machine set up to fit anything on the sides of #41 GT40s,only on the hood -removed from a #8 most likely!
