Won these last week along with a load of dinkies, they went a bit higher than i thought and later i did a completed listing search on EBAY for a spot on tanker in yellow, one similar condition to mine went for £150 and a mint one £1643! so a bit relieved that i hadn,t overpaid.Looks like the yellow is a rare colour.
Lucky for me i didn,t have any of the spot on,and my dinky mate collector from around the corner bought the spare commer from me.
The AA artic i have been after for a while too

Nice finds there - the tanker is lovely and I reckon of all the diecast milk floats made the Spot On is the nicest. Well done :D

Thanks ewan,i was surprised the float is black in colour and with a light lilac base, good model though like you say,my plan is to try and get an example of every spot on model ,regardless of colour or condition, this keeps the costs down lol, and i,m in no rush just me them up here and there, with the occasional blow out like last week.

Had a wee look at my 2014 Model Price Guide (about time I updated, I was using 2009....) and they've got the tanker at £950-1300, quite a bit more than the red and green AEC which is £650-850 so it looks like they are the same as the Bedford S-Type tankers and the white/yellow ones must be rarer. In my opinion they're definitely nicer :D

The same guide mentions that there's been a shortage of Spot On commercials coming up for sale which is helping even the non-minters go well. Have you got many left to get? I'm on a bit of a buying freeze at the moment (in theory) but when I get back into the swing of it properly you'll be the first to know if any odd Spot On come my way.

That Tanker's a winner Dave, if you get fed up with it I'll pop over to Wombourne and cross your palm with pictures of the Queen,
Chris Warr,

Went to an auction friday and in one of the last lots with some metalware were these pair of spot on,the spot on mini saloon is quite scarce in any colour, and i think the lilac coloured sunbeam is too, came with somemore diecast mostly scrap, but a decent budgie motorway coach and a couple lesney beaters :D Pity about the missing lights

Even in that kind of condition, Spot Ons are still nice.
I do like the Mini': it looks like they got the proportions about right.

And they included the door hinges on the Spot-on Mini, a detail that Matchbox should have included on the the SF#29 Racing Mini casting. IMHO
