65a Jaguar 3.4 Litre

Post by pkp448 »

This person has two 65a Jaguar 3.4 Litre, both red color. Have the base plates been switched on these?

What makes you think the base plates have been tampered with?
To answer your question, they look fine to me.

What is you concern with the Sugar Truck?

Tinman,

Something just struck me as wrong at the time on the 65a's and wanted confirmation these were or weren't OK.

On the Foden the labels didn't look right--I missed the disclaimer in the description about this having replacement labels. Guess I need to call it a night! Thanks.

Well, Rick's a good guy and very honest. Those peel & stick sugar truck labels are some of the many he makes and sells.

The two models referred to are actually 65b. (I have heard of a 65a in red, but have never actually seen one.)

....or was it the other way around (i.e. a 65b in metallic blue)?

Yes, I remember John Marshall of California had a metallic blue 65b many years ago. I am not sure if it was genuine, and I do not know where it is now.
