I like those Bob, very nice little selection of unusual 'Yesteryears'. You have some Bugatti models that could be photographed like that, they would look good and while on the subject of such models, any chance you could single out your 'Pre-Pro' Y-2 Bentley 'Blower' models, I am sure your photography skills will do them justice as they deserve a posting of their own on this forum.

That's an interesting model. Any chance of a baseplate picture? Just checked my reference files and found I have the same picture. Do you have the model, or just the picture like me?

No, sorry Bob, I do not have the model and I do not have a baseplate image. I have not fully studied it myself apart from the fact the tyres match my models from 1973-74 (early 'Woodgrain' boxed models), 1st type spare tyre retainer, MK 1 'Cross-Wire' wheel rims and on first glance, an early 'Narrow-Spring' baseplate casting (Pre 1977 Y-6 'Fire Engine' type).
All the above subject to confirmation of course, as it may be a genuine 'Trial' model, but apart from the front axle having the large domed 'Boss' on the wrong side (usually on the near-side) it does match my 'Transitional' silver body over red base, but with large section 12 spoke rims and tyres.

It was one of a series sold by the same vendor on E-Bay last year. All were allegedly colour trials from impeccable sources.

Honestly, the pink one looks like an April joke to me!
Maybe it is quite the same kind of model like the multi-coloured Y5-3 Peugeot covered at the Joe Reccia auction catalog!?

During the suspended production period in mid 1973, lots of work was carried out on the 'Yesteryear' models in an attempt to update the look and cut costs on production. There must be quite a number of trial models from this period, some have come into the collectors market, but I am sure many more will turn up. Those examples you have shown could be some of those, but as you know, ideally we need to hold them to properly confirm the model's status, but still very nice to see them.
