Casting #70

70a Thames Estate Car (Ford), issued 1959, length 55mm, box types B and D.
70b Grit-Spreading Truck (Ford), issued 1966, length 68mm, box types E and F.

It was made by 'Tri-Ang' as part of a large 'MINIX' range of models, they are often used for model railway layouts because of their size (about OO/HO), normal production versions always have the Chromed baseplate with matching wheels, but I understand some can be found with black baseplates.

"Minix" I think they are very cool looking. Lesney should have made the 70A in a non-window variation ;)

just got this on a bin as I wanted a spw one, question is all Nicks codes have silver trim to the front and this one doesn't
are there issues without trim
