Should I continue?
Should I continue?
I would like some feedback from Forum members regarding whether it is worth my while continuing with the (nominally weekly) catalogue comparisons.

Re: Should I continue?
Sorry Hugh, I do, as I read all the ones you have done so far. Just do not post anything after, I find it very interesting and informative.

Re: Should I continue?
Without even looking back at the last two models, I remember them to be ones that all guides seem to be relatively complete on. There were two details on the last one I needed to check on, but the discussion over the #46 2 line green Pickfords has kept us all speculating and severely distracted Idris. Life has no 'schedule', so feel free, as you have this time, to take a break when important Posts like SCM's need to be addressed. We are a bit stalled at seeing answers and opinions on the Van and the Scorpions, and I do sense a reluctance of collector's to come forward with new examples of either type model for our discussions.
We very much enjoy your comparison Posts Idris, just as we do George's Casting Show. We have all had lots of enjoyment, and also added new knowledge because of the pictures, discussions, and added casting details that have come to light from both 'series'. Your Posts are of particular interest to me in that you are quoting the ancient scripts that we called our 'bibles' back in the dark ages of collecting in the 1970s. (You notice I have not been able to add anything from the 'prehistoric ages' of the 1960s, because we collectors had shared all we knew of then when the comprehensive AIM and NAMC Guides were being hand written) kwakers

Re: Should I continue?
Hello Hugh, like many others I do read all the posts on your section although I rarely post any replies. Like some one said to my forum its not the posts that count but the number of collectors who visit your forum.
So don't give up,
It is very interesting what different collectors think about models.

Hello Hugh,
Its a shame that someone of your stature on this forum should even consider not continuing!
I don't know the full story behind your decision, but hey, put it down to experience and put it behind you, remember, tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life and there are new members joining the forum all the time and some of them will need to be educated, so let it be you Hugh.
So come on Hugh, get your head stuck into some more "Matchbox" models and tell us about them, O.K.
Regards,
Kevin the GHOSTHUNTER.

Re: Should I continue?
I think the lack of replies is a good sign that we might actually be completing the variation lists, If we can to do a recap of no70a to 75b and note any missing variations I have a little bit of free time so I could get any unlisted pieces added.
