Just picked this up yesterday. The pictures are the ones he sent me. I haven't had time to unpack it yet.
There are a couple unusual pieces in there. Not real sure of the value on the display case. Don't see a lot of them
In our area. It's not the cleanest case but over all pretty nice. Includes
15 boxes as well.
Thanks of taking a look
Greg

Very nice indeed! plus a great way to display the models at home. Let us know which models turn out to be interesting. I can see a nice red Fiat and it might be the photo, but the Ford Tractor looks to have bigger front hubs.

John you are very correct on the two you spotted. I hadn't noticed the tractor till you mentioned it. The front hubs measure 8mm with 14mm tires. I will post pictures and comparisons as soon as i figure out how ti downsize the photos.

Well Numi I am going to have to take break for a while. I have bought a lot this year. This was just one of five sets I have bought. As well as many singles here and there. I have found some really nice pieces but I have spent more than I usually do. At this point the hobby fund is drained.
So I promise not to buy any more in your area. Though my mom does keep an eye out for them in Cape Town.
Glad to be here

I was just kidding Greg.We collectors really dont do justice to our pockets. We try and discipline ourselves but fail. When we say that we had stopped buying it means that we had only stopped buying what we already have.We really NEVER stop buying and adding to our collection.
I do not have any SA finds in my collection.SA does not have much by way or decent HTf's & Rares in collections or coming into the market. Its the same-old,same-old commons.
all the best, keep the collection going...

Numi there is or at least used to be a toy museum in Simon's Town on the edge of False Bay just outside of Cape-town. I have bought a few things off of him in the past. Usually Mom and I hit all the antique shops and a flea market on the beach in the Cape area and I have found a few interesting things. Mostly find corgi juniors. I did find a really nice Coronation Coach (the smallest version) many years ago at a shop downtown CT.
And yes. I say I won't buy anything for a while but most likely will find something fairly soon.

Greg, perhaps u had forgotten that SA had been run into the ground by the corrupt Blacks since 1994. Museum...what museum?? These Blacks are destroyers and non-preservers of history or any collectibles. They demolish anything that the Whiteman created....Phew,lets not go there......... but maybe get someone to check if this museum still stands.....
Yeah, there are flea markets on the beach areas but its a sheer waste of time cos all we find there are the Chines models that sell around $1.
All the best,numi

This is a private really small museum about the size of a house. Pretty cool place to see at least once.
Sorry didn't meant stir up political emotions there Numi! Lol. I know SA has it's share of problems.
We are planning on going to Cape Town sometime this year probably over the Christmas holiday.
