Fine GPW on #13d,#22c,#31c

Post by SMS88 »

The only Lesney casting shipped to stores with gpw,bpw and SF wheels is the 57c Landrover fire truck. The #13 Dodge wrecker,#22 Pontiac GP + #31 Lincoln were converted to SF wheels and were also in production 1964-65 when these htf fine tread gpw were manufactured but none have been found on these castings yet...... or have they been faked for epayers  ???

other then the 13 bp wrecker...the gpw on the 57 fire truck would be too big to fit on the 31 lincoln and the 22 pontiac...what was the last gpw model made...the 16 snow plough...its wheels were too big for the cars too...isnt it also a different type and size of gpw than the 57 fire truck

Fine tread gpw were also fitted to the #20 Chevy taxi, #45 Corsair and #65 Jag Mk2 in 1964-65 and would have been suitable for these new castings

yes they were...but i was looking at the time frame where just the larger gpw were being made and most had bpw where the grey were being phased out

Please don't forget about the 4th type 9X36 odd fine GPW used on the 45B Ford Corsair with Boat Antonin. Your list is amazing, because many of us have never thought about the number of models using these later 'Fine Gray Plastic wheels', or the different diameters used on each of the different Lesney models until now. kwakers

Thanks Dick, sorry I have completly overlooked the fine treads GPW ø9x36. I think that the small fine treads GPW are on: 7b, 10c, 23c, 27b, 40b, 45b, 74a
