I don't know if anyone here saw this one, but it looks like a flat orange/red paint over white. The windows maybe clear. It had some bids so I was interested to see what people thought. The chips look a little unusual and checking Nick's and Christian's site, the white models were pre-pros. So is this a post factory paint or something else?

I did ask for a baseplate photo but no answer, also check his feedback. He has sold repainted models, the only good thing about this one is the thin wheels
so maybe it is a good one. J

Shame about the base photo. Does it look like red over white or is it me?

Looks like a repaint to me because the chips show the paint is much thicker than normal Lesney paint and the sticker is very clumsily re-assigned - that design sticker wasnt created back in 1969 when F box examples were made with round #7!

I am not convinced either but at £23 it was worth a gamble (deep down I know its a repaint but.....well lets just see), i will post some images when i receive it.

I have no come back either because he did not list this as "original".....................total gamble.....some you win some you lose!!

As Jason mentioned, the seller has some regular wheel repaints for sale. Fear the worst and hope for the best Motorman and if it's something special, celebrate and if it's a repaint, go for "not as described". Forget the lack of "original" wording, it's misleading. He may or may not be intentionally misleading but that's not your problem. Worth a try.

Thanks JB as i have said this is a total gamble and one that i am beggining to regret. At least it's only pocket money i have spent. If it turns out to be a turd i am going to keep it as a reminder that gambling is a mugs game!!! :D :D
