Spotted this one on eBay. Probably my only opportunity to own one of these in any condition. Looks original to me. But, I'm no expert. What say you?

Does anyone else think the wheels look a bit smaller than they should be?.

The wheels seem to have significant play wear.

I'd say the whole model has significant playwear! Do you think the wheels are more worn than they should be considering the rest of the car? When I was a kid, It was no problem for me to wear the wheels down on my cars playing on concrete etc. The wheels have the correct tread count as far as I can tell from the pics.

This is the first I have seen this Seller, but the Taxi looks O.K. to me as do all his previous sales. For it's condition, it is priced pretty retail, but there are so few of the GPW Taxi that get sold, you are right to say it may be the best you will find for your needs now. On variations that are rare, sometimes we buy fillers like this one to have an example of it, and we hope to upgrade one day. My Dad bought mine for a bargain $20, which is only excellent, in Hershey Penn. U.S.A. at the Huge AACA Antique Car Show Flea Market there in 1978. I have only seen one to upgrade ours that was a 'high retail priced' one from Hardy in Germany. This variation is quite rare here in the U.S.A.
The Item is listed with a guarantee from Pay Pal, so if you are not happy with the axle ends, I believe you will be able to get your purchase price back. 'I have never regretted any Lesney I have bought, only those I have passed up'. A kwakers quote...

Thanks for the replies. It looks right to me. I bought it early this morning. It will fit nicely with my similar condition Beales Bealeson's, and a few other of the more rare variations. I think I will be fine with the axle ends - at least from what I can see in the pics. The bad news is: I'm off to work in the oil patch for three weeks, so I won't be able to hold it in my hands until the middle of April! I'm sure my wife will be able to appreciate it's significance in my absence! Yes, I'm taking a chance with this one, but this seller appears to be on the up and up, and the model looks correct in the pics. If it is correct, I'll be happy with my purchase, even at $135. If not? Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'll chalk it up to lessons learned. Power of positive thinking! It will be correct, it will be correct! ......
