Hi All
Found on a Flomarkt Meccano 23a Racing Car from a Gift Set, and bought for little money.
Cheers Mathias

Hello mbox75.
A very nice straight example, but where is all the body paint?
Has it been stripped and cleaned ready for painting! despite the wheels being left in a black finish...
Ghosty.

I think it looks pretty good in this raw state

Nice Postwar 23a!
Stripped of paint, but looking good nonetheless. A later version with the central support cast in, not from the 23 boxed set though, that was only Pre war.

One of the things i do like about this Forum (apart from a good argument!) is the number of experts we have on hand who are only too happy to give freely of their extensive knowledge, the above post being a case in point.
Long may it so continue!

Cheers Hugh,
Here's a couple of early ones for comparison, Pre war seems larger through fatigue, neither has a central brace, and only the Pre War shows signs of a cast in guide for the racing number, which was only fitted Pre War, the guide was deleted pretty early, that dates this Post war to after 45.
Chris Warr,
