My Army/Military version of the unimog.



My version of the ESSO EXPLORATION using a Unimog.



A 58a restored into a rare BPW variation.


The "Factory Fake" Reverse color wrecker with labels, thick boom and crimped axle ends.



47a Brooke Bond Tea with crimped axles, GPW and the hard to find silver trim on the grille.


25a Dunlop van with HTF knobby BPW.


A really beat up old green 74b restored in red.


5d restored with Baron of Beef.


Another 5d restored with Pegrams labels.


26b restored with the darker of the two gray barrels.


I finished off my Dropside Dodge Lorry with "Jones & sons Ltd." decals and a cboxed cargo load on pallets.


A simple milk float restoration.


A reverse color Ford heavy wreck truck.


20b restored with it's original (HTF) silver wheels.


An Accessory Pack restoration. I "aged" the decal (a trick I stole from CrazyDave).


A Commer pick-up resto.


A complete set of restored Army/Military castings.




Another Accessory Pack.


A nice 17a in maroon with silver trim, a replacement tailgate and a box from the Matchbox Originals series.


Nice little D-type with red hubs and the ever more rare 5 roundel.


I had to make a new tow hook for this one and scounge up front wheels and an axle.


This one had badly bent fron axle supports and fenders bent in (and no tires).

This one was so rough, I had to fill pitting in the metal.



I had to smooth out some dents in the trailer body of this M2.


Another one that needed a bunch of body work.

A test bed for homemade decals. I've gone over to a Microscale film instead of the clear lacquer and reduced the chipping when trimming the decals.


Last but not least, a rare look at my workshop where I do my best work.

Just a few more ...

This Triumph was all bent up: handle bars bent, front forks bent, side car bent into the cycle's body, side car fender bent. I spent way too much time putting everything back into shape before I could paint. After all that, it needed the rare Harley color.


The ever popular Red Ferrari Berlinetta


A nice Caddy in the rare Green & White. Like the Chevy, this was also very rough an needed a lot of body work.

I just love that Unimog Esso exploration model. It looks brilliant!!

The oil drums and wooden crates are a great addition to the model and add some realism to it. Nice one.

As usual, I love your work. I do have a question, though. Would the US Army ever use a Unimog? I know the German military did.

Probably not, but they should have! Perhaps, a NATO or Mid-East assignment was in the back of my mind.

There are Unimogs in government service here in Florida. They are used as off road fire trucks to fight brush and forest fires. Lots of things in Florida do not fit the government norms for the rest of the country. My local police department has used Saabs and Volvos as police cars. The Sheriff's department used VW Beetles and a VW van. The next town over uses Toyota Camrys as unmarked patrol cars.
