Same as the one found by Johnboy a short time ago no ridge to the bottom of the casting, smaller recess under the front door, two piece side panel doors, no A in the base also narrow axle clips

Early 35c base (attached to a twin-locker, no-sill body), but with wide axle clips:

Does anyone have one of these early bodies with any evidence of side labels ever having been present? Mine is absolutely mint, but has no glue residue or any other tell-tale mark on it. Could it be that these early bodies were actually released without labels because of the problems associated with attaching them to the twin lockers?

I have found early models with and without labels, may be initial production started off without and then they introduced the label. This then in turn made them add the extra bit of casting to suit the label a bit better.

It wouldn't be the first time a model was launched before the labels/decals were available. This appears to have happened with the 6b Quarry Truck, and I'm pretty sure it's true of the 20c Taxi as well.
On the other hand, the first type box (which shows the RW model), proudly displays labels.
