This one arrived this morning and I can't decide whether the red clearcoat was poorly applied or whether it's sunfaded, probably the latter. The paint is a little darker underneath but still bronze-ish. The windows are the clearest ones I have for this model, I have some models where the sun has discoloured the windows, but can the sun bleach out the colour?

Looks sunfaded to me. The darker red seeems to be seen in the cracks and corners, but maybe it is just the photo.

I agree to sunfaded, but would be a very interesting variant as light bronze (like Gruesome Twosome?)
Nevertheless a nice find, would fit well into my collection

Close, it was that nuclear hotbed called Luton.

I have not seen this happen to a #68 before and my initial thought was that the colour has come about by the red top coat being very thinly applied over the gold primer, however i am swaying toward the view that this is a sunfade. I have never come across a sun faded #68 before so this is a first for me. Strangely i noted another posting from another member (who's name evades me) who had bought a job lot including a red bodied #41 Siva Spyder with very similar discolouration.

As for the window glass on this #68 it certainly looks very clear to me.

Loooks like a sunfaded untintied windows example to me. Glazing can be discoloured by chemicals like tobacco smoke and damaged by sun if exposure is long enough.
