I love it because there is perhaps the most variations and not all are mentioned up till now. They are only waiting to be discovered. The models with sea green side are rare and it is difficult to compare them. There is mentioned two colour variations, I think that there are three (or more) variations.

Hi - - - There are numerous subtle shade differences of the bronze color in this hard to find two-tone model. It can range from a silverish bronze all the way to pinkish / red bronze. That said, among most collectors the color is identified as just bronze / copper. A parallel can be drawn with all the subtle shades (and some more stark) on the copper colored last version of this casting. - E

to distinguish shades between pink and cream is sometimes very difficult.

You are right, by gold-bronze-copper models is the identification of colour sometimes very difficult

I Think I just wet my pants! What a photo Antonin. I am left looking for mirrors in this trick photo. No wonder all of us are having trouble finding these 22Bs. You and George have them all!
I like your idea of the 3 main colors on sea green sides that you first suggested and pictured because it is much more simple. They are not 'shades' of bronze or gold, they show 3 distinct easy to code colors. Adding the 4th color in your picture might add more confusion than precision in coding. You know it is a different color when held in our hand, but it makes the others more difficult to tell apart.
It is like that on the 74B Bus. Light and dark greens are good for coding here. When you add the middle 3rd green, it is precise for we 'old collectors', but confuses the huge difference between the main 2 colors we want to code. They are just like your 3 Crestas, easily seen by most members.
Hello Early Wheels! Thank you for joining in on this one. What collectors such as George, Diecast and I are attempting to do is add some colors that were found in stores to Nick's variation site. While we older collectors are still alive and still mentally Lesney sharp, we share our models that have been shelf queens all their life, or those colors we recognize as being non listed. Mike Stannard did very well with obscure casting details that had gone unnoticed before 1985, but was a bit color blind in his listings. As you have said about the range of colors on the Cresta, we are not going to get too carried away, but Antonin's picture did give us some excitement this morning. I am afraid E Bay's prices on this 22B will now soar after everyone sees his selection. kwakers

Hi Dick
I agree with you, 3 colours are easy to distinct. If someone wants to distinct more, can do it with index like e.g. subcode 16a and subcode 16b (the same by gold-bronze-copper colours) .
