66a Citroen D.S. 19 unlisted variation

Post by Diecast »

There are two types of the base plate, without/with triangular braces. The first body casting is relativelly rare and to spot it is difficult. Up till now was the first body casting fitted with the base plate without triangular braces. I have found the variation with the first body casting fitted with the base plate with triangular braces. It has GPW ø9x20 and dome head crimped axles. It should be code 2.

Very nice Antonin, I will check mine. Also, not to forget the wider and narrower baseplate between the rear wheels.

Hi John
I think that the base plate without braces is wider and the base plate with braces is narrower. Please check it, there is unfortunatelly only a few models for checking.

Oh no, not another one. Took a while to find all the known variations. Now this. A great find. Sadly though, very few will ever find one. Finding a code one was very difficult.
Ditto on the width of the two base plates.
Antonin, I love your posts but your killing me.

Much Fun,

Jeff

Hi Mike and Nico,

Yes silver wheels. The 66a is one of my favorite models. Happy to have another to search for. Hope the shade difference can be seen.

Best Regards,

Jeff

I now have the reverse variation of second body casting fitted with the base plate without triangular braces. It has GPW ø9x20 and dome head crimped axles. It should be code 3 (assuming Antonin's find described above is added as Code 2).
