Everything this seller has is mint in box, rare lesney colours.

I'm watching a couple I can afford

I agree. I've looked at many of this seller's offerings before and have yet to find fault with any of them.

Sorry, had to delete a couple of words. Typing on my mobile can have strange results.

I really feel positive about this seller. Shame it's out of my price range, but at least it's worth checking out.

I think it's real but like a lot of Harvey's things I don't think it's priced to sell, just my opinion.

He probably does most of his business outside of ebay and uses ebay to advertise his stuff for pennies.

I'm not sure he does any business. (He certainly doesn't haggle!)

He just likes to show off his collection IMHO

RVREVO, If the models you have on your 'Watch List' are affordable 'Regular wheels' from Tillee, please advertise your 'Wants' here at the Forum. I am sure collectors here could beat his prices with nice clean spares. If Idris says the man does not haggle, It saves us the trouble of trying, and also wondering how he operates. A quick check of his 'Completed Listings' may surprise us all. He may be selling enough of these on EBay to continue on as a 'Retail Dealer'. His prices may make our normal purchases seem like steals, but investors don't have our knowledge and patience. The price on the tan Morris and the 23B Trailer in green are not out of line for Mint examples, but his less than mint ones are still tough to find anywhere in ANY condition. If you want one now, you pay his price and have one! If you can upgrade later for less money, the two prices are averaged out and you market the lesser one. You then become Tillee or Hardy as you sell your expensive spare rarity to a very limited market. Do you buy 20 Mint 'Commons', or one very rare Lesney of your dreams? I still ask that question after many years of collecting our little Toys. I especially Thank Nick Jones for making 3 of my dreams come true in 2013 by publicly marketing some 'Rares' out of his collection.
Could Tinman and Motorman's comments about the needs of some to show their collection online be fact? Yes.....It is clever in that it also gives other collectors the chance to offer them similar rarities and oddities to add to their collection or their high profile sale inventory. Private or Public in our collecting? We decide that for ourselves. kwakers
