This old Merc has the boot section filled in with a filler or resin and when I first looked at it I thought it was just a running repair that someone had done but are there any thoughts? Also, this model has a thicker section at the base of the rear passenger window, I have a few of these with the thick B pillar and these don't have this thicker section, so I was wondering if there was more than one attempt to tidy up this casting.
