Tipped off on FB by UK collectors that LIDL in the UK ( and here in Denmark last week it seems) has these superb display cases with out dimensions 110x68x20 for around £50 assemble yourself - they weigh about 25kg,solid quality at half normal prices! Here is a photo of mine, seen yesterday, bought today, assembled and now playing around with what to put in it........ probably all my 3 inch vintage non Lesney , non Corgi, non Playart plus some buses occupying a shelf i want for something else.....

Mick, Lidl's sell these display units every year around Xmas for some reason, The look not bad at all and they have a lock on the glass door for keeping the kids at bay. They are selling in Scotland for £59 for one cabinet or £110 for two.

Two very nice collections you have shown us SMS88, I noticed a 'Mini-Dinky' Corvette in blue on the second shelf in the top picture, do you have any other Mini-Dinky models you could show us. I am in search of the blue Silver Shadow and would love to see some good detailed photos of an example.
Like the display cabinets as well, they look like they are designed to allow some air flow rather than be really tightly sealed, which as you probably know, is not good for precious collectible model cars!
Regards,
GHOSTHUNTER.

Mini Dinky Corsair + 230SL visible close to the Corvette -the only other i have from that range is the Mustang. Some other members here like Fred 7a may have the Roller in their Mini Cinky selections.........

Popped down today and bought two of the big ones. Have now recovered from the double hernia after lifting them out of the shopping trolley into the car, then carrying them upstairs to the model room. Blimey they're heavy! Results can be seen in the YY forum tomorrow. Thanks very much for the tip off. First time I've ever been in a Lidl store

My old models have also found a good place.
