Hi all, just got this in the mail it's a 55B with a 59B base plate and has 9 X 24 wheels. Also it is without ridges over all 4 wheels. So can anyone tell me what code this would be???

Re: No.55B W/59B Base Plate
Hi Dave.
I'm sorry but you wont find that one in the variation tables at all, it does not have a code because it is an error piece, regardless of it being quite sought after.
When I started doing the variation tables I decided not to include errors because if I include one then by rights I should include them all. if I added this one then I should include my 20b commer milk float with 3xgpw and 1xspw as two of them are known to exist, where do you draw the line ?. so the easy way out is simply to not include any of them.

Hi Nick, thanks. Is there a variation in the light blue without the ridges over all 4 wheels. And if so is this the first casting? Like the dark blue variation?

Hi GPW collector.
The first release was in dark non metallic blue gloss, it had 4 smooth wheel wells, the colour was changed to metallic blue and after it had been in production for a while the ribs were added to 3 of the wheel wells.
