This is the very First issue/version from Lledo of their 1907 Silver Ghost.

The base just has the 'DG 32' catalogue number, but this same baseplate was used for the 2 seater 'Coupe' version Silver Ghost, numbered as 'DG 45'.

Its clear from just these pictures above, Lledo thought this model was worth keeping in production and had it recoloured several times, but unlike Lesney, the model was not modified with casting changes and Lledo did not add extra strengthening braces here and there!

(Ignore the descriptions under the pictures (SAM-1234 etc), they are simply to allow posting on another website)

Kevin, I didn't even know Lledo made a Roller like this one. From the top side I would have guessed it was a Lesney Yesteryear for sure.

The Lledo Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost shown above was designed by the same designer as the Lesney example, so no wonder they often get labelled as the Lesney model.

A few of my Corgi Toys Silver Ghost models.

The version on the left with Tan window frames is very hard to find. The darker Brown window frames on the right model is the more usual version.

Thanks Guys. What you see there is only the tip of the iceburg so in displaying a large part of the collection would need an enormous amount of space, something I don't see coming my way any day soon.

Then there is the Bentley collection. The picture below is a selection I was able to lay my hands on for the Maidenhead Static Model Club's special Bentley club night about a month ago.
