Hi John,

For the price you paid for the 35 you can not only get that bus fare and fish supper and at least a deposit on Alex’s model. :D

I have turned the light on in the cab of my 35 and the glazing roof rivet is only a positioning guide. It looks like the glazing is sitting on an extension of the plastic base grille. Is the grille pressed in a little that is jamming the glazing on yours?
To move the glazing try a little double sided tape on a soft stick or use folded masking tape with sticky side facing out after checking to see if the glazing rivet hole lines up with the rivet. Led torch is handy here.

I have taken some pics of my 35c set of plastic parts I got from John Nijhuis but I would like to keep them in the packets John sent them to me in.
I hope to use these as educational tools starting with a grandson as I direct him towards becoming a little engineer.

Let me know if you need another photo angle.

Bert

What a great lot you are! thanks for all the ideas and the pictures Bert which were very helpful. Strangely the window unit was sitting about 1mm from the locating rivet on the roof and so I assumed it must have been caught inside further back. The baseplate and grille were correctly fitted on the body, but the windows wouldn't budge with finger pressure on the windscreen or the side windows. The gap by the axle clip is very small but I made a couple of longer thin wooden splints and was about to insert these each side of the axle clip at an angle backwards and with a bit of circular pressure it popped back in! The good thing is the unit is still tight. I had to add a ladder of course, which I've just realized is upside down I think :) The things we do just for a label. Thanks again everyone.

Good result John and now she is wearing her ladders, she's a treat to the eyes!

Well done Johnboy!
You probably learned more about this casting than you initially anticipated.
Enjoy!

A few recent additions here, some clean regular wheels in pic 1 and a couple of wreck truck variants (one superfast) that were in job lots along with a Miura in pic 2.

Such a nice Miura. I hope it wasn’t expensive ;)

I like the Dodge with the Esso label.
